About
Mohammadreza Mahmoudian is a driven scholar whose academic path has been defined by a quest for understanding in polymer engineering and rheology. After graduating high school in 2016, he pursued a bachelor's degree in polymer engineering, laying the foundation for his future endeavors.
In 2021, Mohammadreza completed his master's degree in polymer engineering at Amirkabir University (Tehran Polytechnique). His research focused on the rheology of dense non-Brownian suspensions, investigating particle shape effects on maximum packing fraction, shear thickening, and hysteresis behavior.
Eager to delve deeper into his field, Mohammadreza began his Ph.D. journey in mechanical engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago in fall 2023. As a Research/Teaching Assistant, he continues his exploration of non-Brownian suspensions, employing advanced particle tracking techniques such as PIV, PTV, and rheo-microscopy.
Through his dedication to research and teaching, Mohammadreza is making significant contributions to the understanding of materials science, leaving a lasting impact on the scientific community.
