Parisa received an NSF from CBET - (Fluid Dynamics program) award # 2335195 to unveil the gap in the knowledge of the flow and instabilities of complex fluids. More details can be found here: https://www.nsf.gov/awardsearch/showAward?AWD_ID=2335195

Parisa, in collaboration with Dr. Mahdi Vaezi at Northern Illinois University (NIU), received a USDA Grant to explore the phenomena behind plug flow formation and drag reduction effect in the flow of fibrous biomass particle slurries in pipes and pumps using flow visualization techniques such as Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV).
