About
I am Abbas Moradi Bilondi, a Ph.D. student in Dr. Mirbod's lab at UIC, having joined in August 2021. My research primarily focuses on direct numerical simulations (DNS) of turbulent multiphase flows, encompassing liquid-liquid emulsions, bubbly flows, and suspension of rigid particles. Specifically, I delve into modeling liquid-liquid emulsions within the Rayleigh-Benard convection configuration to investigate flow modulations and enhance heat transfer. Additionally, I explore modeling bubbly flow with passive scalars, suspension flow of rigid particles over rough surfaces, and conduct instability analysis of particle-laden flows, among other endeavors.
